Microsoft Media played.  (choose most recent version available from Microsoft)
Use videos between 1 and 5 minutes long of different formats including at least WMV, AVI.
Use Perfmon to capture results. (csv format sampled every 5 seconds)
Use Excel to generate graphs of the results.

Resolve charter questions:

1) Explore how VLC uses system memory and processor resources while viewing videos as compared with the same videos being viewed by

Microsoft Media played. 

- VLC interface is easier to navigate
- WM encountered error playing two files that VLC had no error (fist aid file and gorillas file)




2) Use videos between 1 and 5 minutes long of different formats including at least WMV, AVI.

Used both file types - see additl test ideas



3) Use Perfmon to capture results. (csv format sampled every 5 seconds)

done - should have inquired on perfmon settings desired - used processor and memory

4) Use Excel to generate graphs of the results.

graphed results - many options available to graph, did not spend time adjusting output



Noticeable that WM requires more resources -
